Ames taping is a neater and quicker alternative to plastering. It is a method whereby professionals apply tape and joint cement to only the joints and screw holes of plasterboards.
Traditionally, tape and joint cement is applied to the entire plasterboard surface but that is not necessary with ames taping. By using this new technique the process is faster and with a cleaner finish.
Although ames taping is highly recommended for easier and better decorating, it’s main purpose is fire and smoke safety.
Apply the tape and joint cement on the joints and screw holes
Sand down the joint cement for a smooth finish
Apply dry wall primer to the plasterboards. Ready for decorating
Craig and his team completed a full house for me. He kept in touch and updated me on the progress regularly. Any issues were dealt with before I even found out about them.
I’ve worked with many different trades and it is rare to find someone who takes as much pride in their work as Craig does.
I will use this company in future and would happily recommend them.
Try ames taping for the best base for decorating ceilings and walls
